About Us
Rochester Counseling Group is a local, family owned and operated business. We are dedicated to helping individuals who are dealing with mental health and/or substance use issues, as well as their spouses and other family members. However, we specialize in individual therapy services; we do not offer couples counseling or family therapy. Our therapists have a combined total of over 200 years of experience helping people. One of the primary reasons we decided to open our office was to be able to give back to the community we care about. As part of this endeavor a portion of all clinical services offered are donated to area non profit agencies and individuals that work with the homeless, underserved, and veteran communities.
We are a “clinician friendly” practice. This means that the health, balance and well being of our team is seen as crucial to the success of our clients. You can be assured that your provider will have the time and energy to be thoughtful and present when meeting with you. Each therapist is independently licensed to practice in the State of NY. This means that you can rest assured that your provider, at a minimum, has at least 6 years of formal education and training in their craft plus 2 more years of post graduate experience and training.
Our families include these furry friends (in order): Matt’s rescue dogs Sophie and Violet; Courtney’s dog Ramsey (Dog with toy in its mouth); Clare’s dog Mickey; Alana’s dog Bruski; Johanna's dog Cosmo; Karen's cats: Luna and Dominic; Lisa's dog Honey; and Leanne's dog: Indi;
