You have chosen a brave—and often humbling—profession. My passion is supporting fellow therapists in developing a way of practicing that is not only clinically sound, but sustainable over time. Too often, burnout is treated as an individual failure rather than an understandable response to the demands of this work. Supervision should be a place where that reality can be named and addressed.
I bring over 24 years in the mental health field, including 18 years of experience as a clinical supervisor. I have also worked as as a national trainer of Motivational Interviewing for the Department of Veteran Affairs. My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and practical, with a strong emphasis on helping clinicians build confidence, refine skills, and develop habits that protect against burnout while maintaining ethical and effective care. My supervision is informed by Mindful Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and ACT. Together, we focus on case conceptualization, clinical decision-making, boundaries, and the emotional impact of the work—so that growth does not come at the expense of well-being. As an entrepreneur with extensive experience running a private practice, I also offer guidance around workload management, private practice sustainability, and career development.
I believe supervision should be accessible to therapists who are committed to ongoing growth. If you are early in your career and would benefit from a sliding fee scale, this can be discussed during our initial meeting. References from current and former supervisees are available upon request. I offer a free consultation to give providers the opportunity to meet with me, discuss their goals, and determine whether this supervisory relationship is the right fit.
As clinicians, we understand the critical role of supervision in fostering professional growth. Clinical supervision provides a valuable space to identify areas for development and access further resources and training. Whether you aim to refine your skills, process client sessions, discuss differential diagnoses, or need guidance on New York State ethical and professional standards, supervision can help build your confidence and competence in these areas.
Having worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, including in a supervisory capacity, my approach is genuine and relatable. Additionally, my experience managing a private practice allows me to offer job coaching if that would be beneficial to our sessions. In my practice, I utilize theoretical approaches such as CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, and MI. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for us to connect and determine if we would be a good fit. Recognizing the importance of accessible supervision for all therapists, I am also open to discussing a sliding fee scale for those who are just starting their practice.
